Emergency Siren 104 Restored to Full Operation
On Wednesday, June 4th, during a routine scheduled testing of the emergency response system, siren number 104 malfunctioned and would not turn off remotely. The Douglas County Emergency Management Agency (DCEMA) dispatched a maintenance worker to make repairs. During the repair process, Valley remained covered by surrounding sirens. This morning, DCEMA notified the City administrator that the repair is complete and Siren 104 is back operational.
Thank you to Aaron Alward with DCEMA for the fast response and speedy repairs.
