Ginger Cove Bridge Steel Girder Repainting

The City’s Contractor, JEM Restoration, is set to begin work on repainting the steel girders under the bridge
on Ginger Cove Road on Monday, April 14th. The Contractor will sandblast the steel girders under the bridge
decking and then apply a new coat of paint on the steel girders while protecting the water from any
contaminants. Construction is expected to last 6 weeks, weather permitting, and will be opened to boat traffic
by Memorial Day weekend, May 23rd.
Access across the bridge will remain open at all times, however, access to the lake channel below the bridge
will be closed during the construction due to the containment blanket and workers access to the bridge. We
appreciate your patience and cooperation during the project.
