West Street will be closed beginning Monday, September 28th at 8:00 am and last two weeks until Friday, October 9th, 5:00 pm. The City will make every effort to adhere to the closure duration; however, in the event of bad weather or unforeseen circumstances, the dates may need to be extended.
Access residents along West Street between Charles Street and Alexander Street will be maintained. Temporary barricades and signage will be placed to guide the drivers around the construction zone. Traffic will be detoured to the east one block to Mayne Street around the construction work area.
The City of Valley Contractor, Vrba Construction, Inc., will be installing a new storm sewer pipe at the intersection of West Street and Charles Street. The Contractor will remove the existing pavement, install the new storm sewer manhole and pipe and replace the concrete pavement.
