Public WorksThe Valley Public Works Department is responsible for a wide range of duties. They are responsible for maintenance of the streets, parks, including the baseball and softball fields and swimming pool, cemetery, arboretum, city vehicles and equipment and animal control. The public works department is staffed by five full-time employees and normally has to hire extra help during the summer months to stay on top of the many miles of green areas that need mowing and chemical applications to look their best.
